Our philosophy of respecting and nurturing the inherent value in each individual underlies every aspect of our program. Our Adolescent Program was created to offer opportunities to youth who have encountered problems that require temporary separation from their families.
Our philosophy emphasizes behavioral change, life skill development, personal responsibility and accountability for personal actions and choices. The primary goal of the Big Horn Basin Adolescent Program is to enable each child to return home to be with his or her family, or to live independently and be a happy, well-adjusted individual.
It
is the intention of Big Horn Basin Adolescent Program to encourage and support
the continuation of family relationships. We believe that the family is
the backbone of our society. We do not try to replace or undermine the
parents of the students we serve. We encourage both the students and parents
to have regular contact with each other. We keep you informed about your child's
improvement by providing monthly progress reports.
